Work Hard, Play Hard: A Sneak Peek at AIFP’s Summer Plans

Summer is here and it’s pretty hard to beat the awe-inspiring beauty and great weather of Portland summers. At AIFP, fun is part of our company culture, and we work hard to celebrate our employees year-round with plenty of team bonding activities, celebrations, and service opportunities to keep involved in the local community. Here’s a look at some of our exciting summer activities for 2019.

Portland Spirit Cruise

We kicked off the summer with the Portland Spirit Cruise, an annual event where AIFP employees and their guests enjoy a ride down the Willamette River on the Crystal Dolphin. This two-hour cruise features hors d'oeuvres, beverages, and stunning views of the Willamette Valley from four public observation decks. Not only is it a great opportunity for AIFP employees to bond with other team members, but it’s also a great way to better explore and enjoy the beautiful city of Portland.

1^st Annual AIFP Go-Kart Competition

We’re not afraid of a little friendly competition. That’s why we’re throwing our first annual Go-Kart competition in July. We couldn’t be more excited for some excitement-filled races between our many talented employees. Keep your eye on social media for pictures from this fun company outing.

AIFP’s Gold/Silver Dinner

At AIFP, we understand the importance of celebrating hard work, not only because it boosts morale, but because employees who feel valued are more willing to work harder. Our annual Gold/Silver Dinner is thrown by AIFP’s President John Vranizan and serves as an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the trading achievements from the previous year. We couldn’t do it without our dedicated traders and admin team who put in the work everyday to help American International Forest Products continue to grow.

Portland Timbers Game

On August 10, we’re taking our employees to the Portland Timbers match at Providence Park in downtown Portland. Attendees will enjoy a competitive match between the Portland Timbers and the Vancouver Whitecaps. Plus, they’ll get to show their Portland pride by cheering on our beloved soccer team. We’re looking forward to another great way to celebrate our team’s hard work!
