Kyle McWhirter joined AIFP in 2013 as a Lumber Trader. Kyle is now the head of the U.S. Lumber Department and serves as part of AIFP's leadership committee. One of his favorite things about being a trader is being able to help the next generation of traders grow both professionally and personally and watch as they develop into leaders themselves. He also enjoys all the relationships he develops with both other traders on the trading floor and the partnerships he has made with mills and customers. Being able to create that trust and reliability brings a level of satisfaction to his trade. When Kyle is not on the trading floor, he loves traveling with his family, exploring Portland's incredible food scene and cooking new cuisines. He also enjoys playing golf and watching sports.
